This is a late review, but it had a huge impact. Went around Madi Gra time. This place was beautiful. We went for my bestfriends birthday. The waiter was so professional and friendly. I wish I remembered his name. He was a mid aged older man, social and I believe bald. Chris? The owner was also plus stylish. The atmosphere was peaceful with a live dj. I'd say if you want a more grown and mature restaurant, go here. We enjoyed this place earlier in the day, but we knew it was great for a lounge like feel later in the days. The FOOD omgoodness the FOOD was amazing. The Chef deserves a trophy. Tasted like someone's mama put their entire heart in it with the love from their Ancestors. I had their grits, and I have never had grits so amazingly textured and flavored. My bestfriend was even in love with it, and she's not a grits lover. The drinks were also awesome. It's medium to small in space but I hope they have multiple locations in the future because they deserve it.One con: There were two yt women that could have greeted the customers, but they chose to have "blind eyes". I asked my friends and noticed it with other customers also. That was the only sour spot that technically reflects them personally and not the rest and restaurant. The owner, I believe, came from the back to the front and was the one who greeted and seated me.

The food was great. We had steak and halibut. The dishes were unexpectedly sizable unlike other upscale restaurants. Our server, Evelyn, was lovely and helpful in dish selection. The live jazz really brought the place together. We will definitely be coming back to try other dishes.
